Philadelphia Art Museum has a great line up this summer. Art Splash is the name of the Philadelphia Art museums Family center programs. I got a sneak peek the events last week.
They have a Exhibited “All Dressed Up” vintage Fashion for the whole family the events will be up for an entire year From Dec 2012- Dec 2013 I loved see in the clothes of the past. The also provided an area for you to create your designs. My inner Fashion Designer loved this exhibit.. See above is a sneak peek.
They also have an Exhibit called Candy Coated Wonderland which is a installation done by local Philadelphia Artist (formerly Candy Depew) The art work is whimsical and fun. The kids who attended enjoyed the exhibit and seeing the Old vintage clothes mixed in with the new.
I also got a sneak peek in to the modern gallery which was featuring “Design or the Modern Child”. I enjoyed seeing designs from kids from the past and very much present. The gallery was not open yet so we could no take pictures but it was a fun gallery for the entire family. I cant wait to bring my kids.
The Art splash at the has a whole host of events every week all summer long. I highly recommend heading do with the kids. Thanks to Melinda at LookWhatMomFound for her daughter in this picture.
