Sesame Place Christmas

sesame_placeThis past week we were invited to go to Sesame Place Very Furry Christmas. Such a great family tradition for the family.  This was the 2nd year we attended,  Sesame Place did not disappoint.

New this year, is the Sesame Place Furry Express, a brand new trackless train ride, which takes guests on a tour through the Twiddlebugs’ Gingerbread Cookie Factory and ends the journey with samples of their famous gingerbread treats.sesame place

A Very Furry Christmas will also feature exciting special events, including concerts and character meet and greets.   Sesame Place will also celebrate New Year’s Eve with fireworks set to Sesame Street themed music.

I loved seeing the boy love the evening of lights and rides.  They had such a fun time being kids and enjoying the holidays. sesame place very furry christmasThe nice thing that they add this year was the heat lamps the really made the cool night pleasant.

I wanted to share the video I took of the swings.

Sesame Place Great for older Kids- Review and Giveaway

kids at sesame placeSesame Place Is not just a place for little kids.  This year we attended opening day at Sesame place. I attended with my son(age 11) , my sons close friend (age12) , my daughter (age 7), and UpperCase women’s Daughter (age 5).  We love Sesame Place. Even as my children get older,  it is always a fun day for all.  We normally bring a big kid for my son to enjoy the day with, so he can ride the rides.  Every time  the friend,  is not sure because Sesame evokes a feeling from there early childhood.  But once they arrive and see how amazing Sesame Place is for all ages they relax and have a wonderful time.

Sesame Place Review

This trip, My sons friend never has ridden  a roller coaster,  the Vapor Trail was just the right size for a 1st time coaster.  My daughter choose to ride with him.. here is the before and after shot.   He loved it and could not wait to ride again.kids ready yo ride a roller coaster

Sesame Place has just as many dry rides as they do wet. So anytime of year is a great time to go.  My  kids also love climbing Nets and Climbs is always a fun place for the kids to climb and get lost in a safe way 30ft off the ground.  It is a wonderful workout.kids in a climbing net

Another big hit was the Elmos World – Free fall ride check out the faces.kids on a free fall ride

There are also some amazing shows and performances this year.  We did not attend because the age of my kids are all about the rides but they did spend a few moments posing with the various Sesame Street props.

We arrived at 10 and spent about 6 hours it was a fun action packed day.

My summer tip if you are close by is to go later in the day arrive around 3- 3:30 you save money on a twilight pass and the park is less crowded. We will stay till the park closes and the kids just go around and around on the rides because the lines are shorter.

cookie monster

So this past week my daughter and I  went to Sesame Place with a friend CecilyK it was a fun day.  Cecily daughter and mine had a wonderful afternoon. We walked with and I got to know fellow Philadelphia Dresden.  We got to see all the big stars at Sesame Place in Langhorn.

We are able to see all the characters at a right before the new parade which was amazing and fun.  My daughter loved it.

We also got to see the new  Rock n Roll Elmo live Show.  And Elmos World Live show worth Mr. Noodle.

Then we got play.  The Monster Maze was a favorite the girls went in and ended playing in the sand for quite some time,  Then they played on the Ernie bed bounce which was fun.

There is also a ton of water rides at  Sesame Place my daughter said that the opening day was a little too cold .  We have come in the past with both my kids and my son 9 loved it because of the water rides.

It was a lovely day that to Cecily and Sesame Place for having me.

Disclosure:  I did not receive and compensation for this post. Sesame Place did allow me to  attend the day and  but the opinions are of my own.
